Aberration- A subset of abnormal. An aberration is a creature whose powers are not a result of mutation or training. Aberrations include aliens, ghosts, beings summoned from another dimension, and similar creatures. For more information see the aberration page.
abnormal- any individual or creature who has powers and abilities that exceed the norm for their species. Abnormals are broken up into three groups, prodigies, mutants, and aberrations.
AIM- AIM is a federal justice organization that monitors, controls, and polices aberrations.
HATES- [[H.A.T.E.S. | H.A.T.E.S.]] is a commercial/criminal syndicate that specializes in genetically modifying humans with animal DNA.
MIB- MIB is a federal justice organization that monitors, controls, and polices mutants.
Mutant- Mutants are terrestrial creatures that derive their powers from their genetic code. Mutations are passed down through reproduction or through parasitic mutations. For more information see mutant.
parasitic mutant- Parasitic mutants propagate by highjacking the DNA of latent mutants. They usually “infect” latent hosts by biting or transferring bodily fluids. Werewolves, vampires, and zombies are all examples of parasitic mutants.
syndicate- Organizations that work to achieve economic, political, criminal, or social power are referred to as syndicates. Different groups may have specific names for their syndicates. For example: Italian crime syndicates are called Mafia Families, while werewolf syndicates are called Packs.
vampire- A form of parasitic mutant, vampires are well known as bloodsucking creatures of the night. There are variety of vampire subspecies with varying abilities. Vampires are generally regarded with distrust. Vampire syndicates are known as Clans.
werewolf- a form of parasitic mutant, werewolves posses the ability to shape-shift from a human to a wolf like creature. There are a variety of werewolf subspecies with varying abilities. Werewolves form syndicates known as Packs.
